Rules of Conduct
Rules and things that will not be tolerated:
-EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION: Please do not ask for any personal information from any of your dates. The purpose of this is to still provide privacy even though you are meeting in person. If you both select each other as a match, you will receive a notification and preferred form of communication.
-GHOSTING: If you match with someone and decide to not continue or change your mind, we ask that you let your match know. We want to encourage everyone in becoming comfortable with being honest and direct. Ghosting often times leads to confusion and unresolved emotions. Examples of messages you can send:
"Hey! It was great meeting you but I have decided I would not like to continue this connection"
"Thank you for the lovely time. I wanted to be honest and let you know that I didn’t feel a romantic connection. I wish you all the best in your search."
"Thank you for the date. I’ve had some time to think and I don’t feel there’s a romantic spark for me. Wishing you the very best."
If you are on the receiving end of this message, we ask that you be respectful and kind in their decision. Here are some sample responses:
"Thank you for letting me know. I appreciate your honesty and wish you all the best in your journey."
"I understand and respect your decision. It was nice getting to know you, and I hope you find what you're looking for."
"Thanks for your honesty. It was great meeting you, and I hope you find happiness in your future dates."
Abuse or harassment will not be tolerated. If you feel unsafe in replying, please notify us. Failure to follow these rules may prevent you from attending any future events.
-CONSENT: Please refrain from touching or engaging in physical contact without consent of your dates. If at any point you feel unsafe or in danger, please notify the Spark Specialist or working staff at the event venue.
